Choose Midjourney if
Raw image quality is the whole point, you already pay for a subscription and do not mind committing before you try it, and you do not need reliable text in the frame.
Choose Ideogram if
You want to try it for free first, the image needs a logo, sign, or caption to render legibly, or you would rather pay for what you use than commit to a monthly GPU allotment.
